ConToast Cosplays!

ConToast Cosplays

We’re spotlighting talent in the cosplay community!
Every month, The Variant showcases cosplayers who display talent, creativity, and a positive voice within the cosplay community.

It’s August 1st and you know what that means…
NEW COSPLAY SPOTLIGHT!!!
You may remember our August Cosplay Spotlight from back in December 2023 when we shot their Bowsette for our
Holiday compilation. Since then ConToast has been showing up everywhere and coming to a bunch of our events.
We’ve been watching her grow as a cosplayer and… we’re lovin it!!!
Here’s what they had to say:

“Hi!! My name is Conor or ConToast Cosplays and I’m so thrilled to be the August Cosplay Spotlight for The Variant!!

I’ve been cosplaying for about 4 years now and I absolutely love it!
Cosplay is a huge part of my life and I’ve made so many new friends through cosplay events!

I started cosplaying in 2020 right when the quarantine
started. My first ever cosplay was Nezuko from Demon Slayer.
Ever since then, I’ve been growing and learning new skills in how to improve my craft.
Crafting takes a lot of trial and error and a lot of time but I love every moment of it!!

One of my favorite cosplays that I’ve done is my zombie Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I created that cosplay from
scratch and had such a great time making it! It took me about 4 months to get it just right and
I loved the entire process. I have some great projects coming up too, so stay tuned!!

I’ve enjoyed all of my time cosplaying and I have learned so
much in just the 4 short years I’ve been doing it. I may be new-ish to cosplay but
my journey is far from over and I’m super pumped to see what I can do or
create next!!! Byeeeeeee!!”

If you couldn’t tell by the header pic and the “I’m Lovin It” reference, ConToast brought us their Ronald McDonald cosplay
which we shot at the McDonalds in Kenly, NC. The staff there were all super-cool and they let us take pics
pretty much all over the place. Huge shout-out and thanks to them!!!
Con’s second set is their 2B Bride from Nier Automata shot on-location at GalaxyCon Raleigh.
Both sets were lovingly shot by Tomisina Lynn Photography.

WAIT!!…why are you still reading this??
GO CHECK OUT THE PICS!!!!
