Welcome to July!!!
This summer it’s been extra hot so we had to bring the fire with an all-new Cosplay Spotlight from Karizma Cosplay!!!  
It’s been a minute since we’ve seen Karizma. She moved to NYC a few years ago to chase her Broadway dreams and we’re proud to say she’s been succeeding in doing what she loves!!! When Karizma told us she was coming back to NC to visit Cosplay America we jumped at the chance to shoot with her and it was a complete no-brainer to get her in front of Tomisina’s lens again and make some magic!
Also, we just gotta say, the girl’s a gymnast so some of those Harley Quinn shots are just… **chef’s kiss**… 
Here’s what she had to say:

“Hi, I’m Karizma Cosplay (Kris, any pronouns) and this is my fourth Cosplay Spotlight with The Variant. I’m a NYC based cosplayer and
theatre technician and I’ve been cosplaying for a little over 8 years now. In between working on three off-Broadway shows,
teaching axe throwing, and slinging coffee, I’m always planning my next cosplay to design and build.

My favorite characters to cosplay are mutants from the X-Men comics or anything Dungeons and Dragons related.
You’ll usually find me as Jester or Vax’ildan from the hit web series Critical Role or as Domino from the X-Force/X-Men comics.
To bring balance to the Force, you can also find me as Harley Quinn as seen in the DC franchise, as well as any other characters I connect with.

Most of the conventions I attend are across the east coast, mainly in New York City, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
Just like a rare Pokémon, you’ll also find me at The Variant booth at a con or two a year.”
