Cosplay Spotlight

We’re spotlighting talent in the cosplay community!
Every month, The Variant showcases cosplayers who display talent, creativity, and a positive voice within the cosplay community.

You may recognize our July Cosplay Spotlight, Scarlett Spitfire as she’s been a huge part of this feature over the years. As a seven-time Cosplay Spotlight you can usually find Scarlett in our October Halloween pages but had her own feature back in 2016 as well as a double feature Spotlight with her cosplay partner and bestie, Spitfire Siren, in 2018. So far she has graced our site with her Ghostbuster, Poison Ivy, Hipster Ariel, an Evil Dead-ite, Velma Dinkley, Betty Rubble, Elvira and Doctor Strange cosplays.

Scarlett has been a cover model for Delicious Dolls Magazine, Bombshell Magazine and as a huge fan of the macabre she fits right in over at Gruesome Magazine as part of their Horror News Radio podcast team.

This month we bring you two scintillating sets of Scarlett Spitfire as Kara Zor-El, the Kryptonian cousin of Superman known as Power Girl and the fun and fancy-free Lola Bunny from Space Jam.

Both sets of pictures were shot by our Director of Photography, Tomisina Lynn on location in downtown Raleigh, NC while safely practicing social distancing.
