We’re spotlighting talent in the cosplay community! Every month, The Variant showcases cosplayers who display talent, creativity, and a positive voice within the cosplay community.
Hey everyone! Elinora here! I learned about the world of cosplay about five years ago, but have only actively been learning new skills for a portion of that. While I’m most comfortable with fabric and sewing, I’m hoping to learn how to work with new materials. Next up, stumbling awkwardly into the world of armor! I’m hoping to bring a few Skyrim characters to life in 2022.
Cosplay has given me so many wonderful friends and new experiences. From friends I met in college to the crew of The Variant who I’ve only met recently, the portion of the cosplay community that I’ve found myself in has been so positive and welcoming. I treasure the friendships I’ve made and look forward to working with them again!
When I’m not sewing, you can typically find me playing video games (Persona 5 and Dragon Age have been my most recent replays) or playing Dungeons and Dragons with a party whose solution to every problem is fire…
This month we are pleased to announce Elinora Cosplay as our November Cosplay Spotlight!!

The Variant is a community of writers, artists, cosplayers, photographers and most of all, fans of the comic book culture that strives to take an exclusive look into the world of comics, cosplay and conventions.
In a world where rehashed ideas are the standard, we instead choose to give a “Variant” outlook at the fandoms, comics, cons and cosplayers you all know and love.
